Is offering salutations upon entering an assembly of knowledge while the teacher has already begun explaining considered a breach of the etiquette of seeking knowledge?

Allah has legislated peace (giving salutations) among Muslims, and it is the greeting of the people of Paradise, leading to love. It is disliked to give salutations in gatherings of knowledge, as it may cause disturbance. Some scholars permitted giving salutations in gatherings of knowledge as long as it does not cause disturbance, while others disliked it for the same reason. There is no harm in giving salutations if it does not disturb those present, and if the teacher believes that giving salutations is not permissible in his gathering, the student should not contradict him.
