The answer

We do not know whether the questioner intends to repay only the loan, which is permissible. Or to repay the loan with an increase, which is usury forbidden by Islamic law, due to the Almighty’s saying: "O you who have believed, fear Allah and give up what remains [due to you] of usury, if you should be believers. But if you do not, then be informed of a war [against you] from Allah and His Messenger. But if you repent, you may have your principal – [thus] you do no wrong, nor are you wronged." And the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Avoid the seven destructive sins." And he mentioned among them: "consuming usury." There are legitimate alternatives such as Tawarruq and Murabaha sales.
