What is the ruling on a sick person who dislikes being seen by anyone to prevent people's talk, and is that considered forbidden because it deprives them of the reward for visiting?

There is no sin on a sick person for preventing people from visiting him if that becomes difficult for him, for the matter rests with him. However, he should know that illness is not a defect, and he must be patient with Allah's decree and content with His judgment. It is better for him to allow people to visit him so that he may receive their prayers and so that they may receive reward for visiting him.
