Are supplications such as, "May Allah admit me to Hell if I lie," answered when one lies, and does anything ensue from them, especially with intense remorse?

The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, forbade a person from invoking curses upon himself, his child, or his wealth, lest it coincide with a moment of answered supplication and be granted. Therefore, the questioner's act of invoking hellfire upon himself if he lies contradicts the prophetic command, and this approach does not achieve piety but rather causes regret and sorrow. The Muslim's supplication for evil upon himself might be answered. Some scholars have considered a man's invocation of evil upon himself, his family, and his wealth to be among the idle talk for which Allah does not hold him accountable, based on the Almighty's saying: "And if Allah were to hasten for the people the evil [they invoke] as they hasten the good, their term would have been concluded for them." The questioner is advised to be truthful, repent, and seek refuge in Allah through supplication to avert any potential harm.
