What is the solution to the problem of a wife insisting on the presence of music and musical instruments at the wedding party, and is the husband sinful if the party takes place while he disapproves of it, knowing that the party in question is for women?

Singing accompanied by musical instruments is unanimously forbidden. You must not obey your wife's request to have forbidden songs at the wedding reception. Rather, you must dissuade her and clarify the ruling of Islamic law regarding these abominations. If you do that and your wife or her family insists on holding the celebration with abominations, then you are absolved, and the sin falls upon your wife and those who assisted her. Marriage is a great blessing that should not be met with disobedience from its very beginning, for this is a form of ingratitude for blessings. Many families experience discord because of these transgressions. And whoever trusts in Allah, He will suffice him, for Allah Almighty says: "And whoever fears Allah – He will make for him a way out And will provide for him from where he does not expect. And whoever relies upon Allah – then He is sufficient for him."
