Does clothing become impure upon touching a table that was impure and has since dried?

Regarding the issue of a pure object touching an impure object, if the impure object is dry and the pure object is wet, there are two opinions: either the impurity transfers, or it does not. The more cautious approach is to purify, but if doing so entails extreme hardship, then there is no harm in adopting the opinion that the impurity does not transfer.
