Is it permissible to pray for the guidance of a person to marry a specific individual, and what are the supplications (Du'as) and verses (Ayat) that should be recited for that purpose?

It is Islamically permissible to ask Allah to marry a specific person. However, it is more appropriate for a person to pray that Allah chooses for them what is best. A Muslim man should ask Allah for a righteous wife, and a Muslim woman should ask Allah for a righteous husband, following the example of the righteous predecessors who used to ask Allah for everything. There is no specific supplication for marriage; rather, a servant may supplicate with whatever they wish, while seeking out times when supplications are answered, being certain of the response, and not being hasty.
