Is the feeling of laziness and boredom when performing acts of worship, such as memorizing the Quran or observing Night Vigil Prayer (Qiyam al-Layl), a result of continuous sin, despite maintaining regular prayers?

The ill effects of sins may deprive a servant of some acts of obedience, harden the heart, and stand between him and the means of mercy. Therefore, laziness in performing acts of obedience might be caused by some sins. For this reason, one should frequently repent, seek forgiveness, adhere steadfastly to the commands of Allah the Almighty, and stay away from sins.
