Is it permissible to steal from a thief, an oppressor, or one who consumes usury? And in such a case, is the theft limited to the amount of unlawful money, or does it include all of their assets? And if stealing is forbidden, is it permissible to spend the stolen money on oneself if the goal is to donate it to the public or to victims of exploitation and theft?

Stealing another's property is forbidden and a major sin, whether the property is lawful or unlawful. It is not permissible to steal it with the intention of benefiting from it or giving it in charity, because Allah is pure and accepts only what is pure.

It is permissible to steal stolen or usurped money only if the intention is to return it to its owner, as some scholars have ruled, including Sheikh Ibn Uthaymeen.
