Must one make up for the days when one swallowed blood due to a nosebleed or bleeding gums while fasting?

Swallowing blood that is continuous with phlegm, and which was impossible to avoid swallowing, does not invalidate the fast. Similarly, swallowing phlegm does not invalidate the fast if it occurs involuntarily. However, if it is swallowed intentionally, there is a difference of opinion among scholars; it is permissible to follow the opinion of those who do not consider it to invalidate the fast, to alleviate hardship. As for nosebleeds (ra'af) that reach the throat unintentionally, they do not invalidate the fast. Likewise, a very small amount of blood from the gums does not invalidate the fast.
