Is it permissible for a woman to use any type of dye and hair color, by analogy with the permissibility of using henna?

It is permissible to dye hair with colors other than black, as long as it does not involve imitating disbelieving or immoral women. As for dyeing it black, it is disliked (makrooh) because the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, forbade it, saying: "Change this gray hair, but avoid black." A severe warning has also been reported for those who do so, as he, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "There will be people at the end of time who dye their hair black like the crops of pigeons; they will not smell the scent of Paradise."
