The answer

If the wife makes a sacrifice (Uḍḥiyah) from her own money, there is no issue with that, due to her full freedom to dispose of it if she is an adult and of sound mind. However, if it is from her husband's money, some scholars permit it, based on the understanding that the Uḍḥiyah falls under spending "with

reasonable kindness" (bil-maʿrūf). It has been reported from Ibn Taymiyyah that "the Uḍḥiyah is part of spending with reasonable kindness, so a woman may make a sacrifice from her husband's money on behalf of the household without his explicit permission." Customary permission is considered equivalent to explicit permission, but if the husband explicitly forbids it, then she is not permitted to do so.
