The answer

Deception (cheating) is forbidden, based on the Prophet's (PBUH) saying: "Whoever cheats is not of me." One who has cheated should repent to Allah, feel remorse, and resolve not to return to it. It is not necessary for him to expose himself; rather, he should conceal himself with Allah's concealment. If someone hears an answer from a colleague without requesting it, it is not considered cheating. The teacher's prayer against the cheater is an exaggeration, because cheating is a right of Allah Almighty.
