It is not permissible to play it, even for mere amusement, as it shows a lack of reverence for Allah's sacred injunctions and a disregard for them, and it involves committing an act that Allah has forbidden, even if for entertainment. Allah Almighty says: "That [is so]. And whoever honors the sacred rites of Allah – it is better for him in the sight of his Lord." (Al-Hajj: 30). Some scholars have explicitly stated the prohibition of imitating the actions of the corrupt and immoral, even if the original act itself is permissible, in order to block the means leading to the forbidden and to prevent boldness in committing it.
