How can humans be rational beings when they have borne the trust that other creatures refused to bear, despite being described in the Quran as "wrongdoing and ignorant"?

The 'Trust' mentioned in the verse: (Indeed, We offered the Trust) refers to the obligatory duties, commands, prohibitions, and legal responsibilities enjoined by Islamic law. There is disagreement regarding the meaning of its offer to the heavens and the earth. Some say that Allah endowed them with intellect and made them understand the discourse, or that it refers to the inhabitants of the heavens and the earth, namely the angels. The human who bore it is Adam, or the disbeliever and the hypocrite, and he is "unjust to himself and ignorant of the consequences of his affair." This phrase is not a justification for bearing the Trust, but rather a statement about the condition of those who failed to uphold it. The consequence of bearing the Trust is the division of people into hypocrites, disbelievers, and believers. The legal responsibilities are easy, and their reward is immense. Therefore, a Muslim must adhere to the Quran and the Sunnah, and frequently supplicate for steadfastness in faith and guidance.
