Does a divorce take effect if the husband declares his intention to divorce for the sake of another man without uttering it, and does the marriage remain valid in this case?

Divorce does not occur as long as the husband has not uttered its words, because intention alone is not sufficient to effectuate divorce according to the majority of scholars. They cite as evidence the Hadith (definition): "Indeed, Allah has pardoned for my Ummah that which they whisper to themselves, as long as they do not act upon it or speak of it."
