The answer

A pregnant woman is permitted to break her fast in Ramadan if she fears for herself or her fetus, based on the Prophet's (peace be upon him) saying: "Indeed, Allah Almighty has relieved the traveler of fasting and half of the prayer, and the pregnant and breastfeeding women of fasting." She is required to make up for the missed days after the excuse of pregnancy is gone, just like the sick person and the traveler. However, if she does not fear for herself or her fetus, then she is not permitted to break her fast.
