Doctors and nurses must adhere to Islamic duties, such as performing prayers on time, avoiding unlawful mixing of genders, female workers refraining from beautifying themselves or wearing perfume in front of non-mahram (definition) men, the obligation for women to speak with men from behind a barrier without softening their speech, and the necessity of wearing the legal hijab (definition) covering the entire body. It is forbidden to look at 'awrah (private parts) except out of necessity, while upholding professional integrity, keeping patients' secrets confidential, and avoiding imitation of disbelievers.
