The answer

There is no harm in raising and fattening birds for meat using methods that do not involve torture, based on the Almighty's saying: "It is He who created for you all that is on earth." However, force-feeding a bird is prohibited if it leads to its torture and exhaustion, due to the Prophet's (peace be upon him) saying: "Fear Allah regarding these voiceless animals." It is not permissible to eat birds with talons, such as the falcon, hawk, peregrine, and eagle, because the Prophet (peace be upon him) forbade every bird with talons.
