What is the ruling on distributing the inheritance of a deceased mother who left behind a son and a daughter who are not full siblings?

If a woman passes away, leaving behind only a son and a daughter, the inheritance is divided between them according to the noble verse: "For the male is the share of two females." Thus, the son takes two shares, and the daughter takes one share. The difference in their lineage (that they are not full siblings) does not affect their portions. Inheritance cases must also be referred to the Sharia courts to verify the existence of other heirs, wills, debts, or rights that take precedence over the heirs' rights.
