Will the prayer and 'Umrah of a wife be accepted if she is shunning her father and supplicating for his death?

Disobeying one's parents is one of the gravest sins. Children must be dutiful to their parents, even if they are polytheists or have disagreements between them, because Allah has commanded kindness towards them. The wife must fear Allah and be dutiful to her father, and seek Allah's forgiveness and repent to Him for her disobedience. Her prayers and 'Umrah are valid, but it is feared that her prayers may not be accepted due to her disobedience. It is not permissible to pray for the death of one's parents; rather, one must pray for mercy for them. The woman's husband must encourage her to be dutiful to her father and prevent her from disobeying him, so that he does not neglect Allah's command to protect his family from the Fire.
