What is the interpretation of "the truthful" (Al-Sadiqoon) in Surat Al-Hujurat?

The verse was revealed to clarify the truthfulness of faith and to respond to the hypocrites and Bedouins who claimed to have faith. Those characterized by faith are those who have believed in Allah and His Messenger without doubt, and have striven in His cause with their wealth and lives, and they are the truthful in their claim. As for those who outwardly showed Islam with their tongues but whose hearts were not at peace, or who did not act according to the deeds of its people, such as the Bedouins and hypocrites, they are not among them. Truthfulness is the truth, and its opposite is falsehood and invalidity.
