If what you have mentioned about your mother is true, then her actions are heinous and grave. She is disobedient to her Lord and neglectful of her husband's rights, and she must repent. You must advise her and remind her of Allah, while still being dutiful to her and not treating her badly. As for the heartfelt dislike you feel due to her actions, you will not be held accountable for it. Spying is forbidden except to prevent an evil when suspicion arises. Imprisonment is permissible to prevent her from immorality if it is the only way to do so. You must prevent her from forbidden acts, even if it requires imprisonment and restraint, while continuing to be dutiful to her and not abandoning her. It is not permissible to inflict punishment upon her by killing or otherwise.
