Is it obligatory to leave a job if it requires paying bribes to facilitate government transactions, knowing that leaving the job will lead to unemployment?

Bribery is a major sin, and its giver, receiver, and intermediary are cursed. Therefore, giving, receiving, and intermediating bribery are impermissible. However, if bribery is given to avert an inevitable or highly probable injustice or harm, it is permissible according to the majority of scholars, and in this case, the sin falls upon the receiver of the bribe. As for work that involves delaying the affairs of others in order to take a bribe, it is forbidden, and the sin in this case also falls upon the giver of the bribe. If it does not invalidate the rights of others, then the sin falls upon the receiver of the bribe alone. Those who are entrusted with the affairs of Muslims must fear Allah and not delay their transactions except for a payment.
