Is it considered disbelief to trivialize committing a sin while knowing it is forbidden, and is this the same as belittling the greatness of Allah, which was mentioned as disbelief?

If the questioner were kind to himself and refrained from thinking about issues of disbelief related to disdain and boasting about sins, it would be better for him. And if he were content with what we prefaced the fatwa he referred to with, it would be more appropriate for him. This is because there is a difference between openly committing a sin and considering it permissible. Not everyone who openly commits a sin considers it permissible. How many a person openly commits and boasts about his sin, while at the same time believing in its حرمة (prohibition), but does so due to heedlessness and hardness of heart? Although he is in great danger, he is not judged to be a disbeliever. Persistent sinning and showing disdain for sins, without considering them permissible, does not make one a disbeliever.
