Does Allah speak to those in graves, and do they hear His voice from behind a veil?

The texts confirm that Allah Almighty speaks to the souls of the martyrs in Paradise, and that Jabir ibn Abdullah's father, Abdullah ibn Haram (definition), has a special distinction in this regard, as Allah brought him back to life and spoke to him directly. It is not confirmed that Allah speaks to other people in their graves, and the states of the barzakh (definition) (interim period between death and resurrection) are among the unseen matters that can only be affirmed by a textual revelation. Therefore, we affirm that Allah speaks to those whom the revelation explicitly states He spoke to, and we do not affirm it for others or in a manner not mentioned in the text.
