Is a wife sinful if she is so preoccupied with her infant children and household chores that it affects her treatment of her husband and causes her to occasionally leave his bed with his permission?

A wife's obedience to her husband in what is right and her good devotion to him are among the reasons for her entry into Paradise, as stated in the Hadith (definition): "If a woman prays her five [daily prayers], guards her chastity, and obeys her husband, she will enter Paradise from any gate she wishes." This obedience is restricted by the limits of Islamic law; it is not due in matters that contradict the Sharia (definition), harm the woman, or exceed her capacity. It is only obligatory in matters of marriage and related affairs. Therefore, there is no sin upon you for leaving your husband's bed with his permission to sleep with your children, as they need you. The relationship between spouses should be based on affection, mercy, understanding, mutual assistance, and consideration for each other's circumstances.
