Is it permissible to teach the Qur'an for a material wage, and does the reward for it differ from one who teaches it without compensation?

Taking a wage for teaching the Quran is permissible, but the reward for one who teaches the Quran without charge is greater with Allah, because he seeks nothing but Allah's favor, and his action is agreed upon as legitimate. As for one who takes a wage, he has hastened a portion of his reward, which is less, and has entered into that about which scholars have differed.
