Does a triple divorce take effect if a man divorces his wife with the first pronouncement, then divorces her a second and third time before the 'iddah (waiting period) ends, without reconciliation, and he is aware of the divorce?

A revocable divorcee can be divorced again during her waiting period (iddah (definition)). If the husband pronounces divorce twice, either in one sitting or two different sittings, without reconciliation, then according to the majority of jurists, two divorces occur. According to Ibn Taymiyyah, only one divorce occurs. The divorce of an angry person is valid unless the anger reaches the point of unconsciousness. It is advised to consult Sharia (definition) courts regarding these matters. Both spouses should be keen on maintaining marital stability and avoiding divorce unless absolutely necessary.
