Is it better to complete a row of prayer interrupted by a pillar or to start a new row, and what is the evidence for that?

It is disliked to pray between the pillars if the mosque is spacious, because it is permissible when the mosque is narrow, and because it breaks the rows. Some scholars have agreed upon this. If some people pray between the pillars, it is better not to join their row, to avoid the prohibition concerning that, and a new row should be formed. However, if dissension or corruption is feared, then the row should be completed to avert it.
