What is the ruling on falling in love with a young man and being unable to forget him, and is there a solution that pleases Allah and resolves the issue?

There is no blame on a woman if she loves a non-mahram man, for a person is not held accountable for matters of the heart unless they lead to something forbidden. A woman should be cautious and preserve her chastity. The solution for those who love each other is marriage. Since both have reached the age of marriage, the parents should not prevent them, especially in a society where temptations are numerous. One should try to convince the parents and involve respected individuals for mediation, while increasing supplication. If the parents refuse, it is advised to be patient and obey their command, for they may have justifications unknown to the son, such as laws restricting marriage at a certain age.
