What is the ruling on a wife traveling to visit her mother in another country without a mahram, if her husband works abroad and refuses her travel, even though there was a prior agreement regarding this visit, and her psychological state and her mother's have deteriorated due to the refusal?

After a woman gets married, her husband becomes more entitled to her than her parents. Her obedience to him takes precedence over her obedience to them. It is not permissible for her to travel except with his permission and with a mahram (definition), unless she stipulated his permission for her to visit her family, in which case he must fulfill that condition, while observing the Islamic guidelines. Her right to that falls if she waives it, but she can demand it in the future. The husband should treat his wife with kindness, and this does not contradict prohibiting communication or recreation. Patience, understanding, and prayer are recommended.
