The answer

If you depart from Muzdalifah after midnight, there is no penalty due from you. However, if you depart before midnight, you have neglected the obligatory stay in Muzdalifah, and therefore, a sacrifice (dam) is required of you. If you are unable to offer a sacrifice, then you must fast for ten days. Your stoning of Jamrat al-Aqabah, your circumambulation (), and your striving (sa'i) after midnight are valid, and nothing is due from you. However, if you stone before midnight, a sacrifice (dam) is required of you for neglecting the proper time of stoning. There is no penalty due from you regarding the stay in Mina as long as you remained there for most of the night.
