Is it permissible for a woman to go with her son to the Haram or to the hospital without the knowledge of her oppressive and controlling husband, if the husband is traveling?

A woman is not permitted to leave her home without the permission of her present husband, except out of necessity (such as seeking treatment at a hospital). Her husband's bad temper or her old age do not permit her to leave without his permission. However, if the husband is absent, she may leave unless he has forbidden her. Both spouses are obligated to treat each other with kindness.
