The answer

If you received a profit from your relative who defrauded people, and this profit was in reality from people's money and not from a real trade, then what you took must be considered as part of your principal, and you are not entitled to claim it again. If this person's assets are insufficient to pay off his debts, then his money must be divided among all creditors in proportion to their debts, and no one is permitted to take exclusive possession of anything without the others. If a new creditor emerges after the division, the division is not to be nullified; rather, this creditor should claim from each of the other creditors according to their share.
