Is it permissible to use an enema or a bidet while fasting to facilitate defecation?

An enema (Al-Huqnah Ash-Sharjīyah) invalidates the fast according to the majority of scholars, and this is the more cautious opinion. As for the bidet (Al-Shaṭṭāf) that sprays water to the private parts to remove impurity, it does not invalidate the fast because the water from it does not reach the internal cavity.
