Is what I mentioned about the types of love for Allah correct, and that love for Allah is of two types: the love of the polytheists for their idols, and the love for what Allah has made appealing to the souls, which is permissible as long as it does not lead to disobedience?

Love of women and worldly matters is permissible and is not considered polytheistic love (shirk (definition)-related love), because it is a love not for their essence but linked to pleasure. It is necessary to distinguish between the four types of love mentioned by Ibn al-Qayyim: love of Allah, love of what Allah loves (which falls under Islam), love for Allah and in Allah (which is a requisite of loving what Allah loves), and love with Allah (which is polytheistic love). As for the love of natural things such as food, water, wife, and children, it is a fifth, natural type of love that is not blameworthy unless it distracts one from the remembrance of Allah.
