The answer

A'ishah (may Allah be pleased with her) and the other Mothers of the Believers are included in the general category of the Prophet's Companions. Slandering them is prohibited. Whoever slanders A'ishah with that from which Allah has cleared her is a disbeliever, due to his opposition to the Qur'an, which explicitly declared her innocence, and due to his harming the Prophet through his family, and due to his reviling the Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him), because Allah Almighty said: {Evil women are for evil men} [An-Nur: 26], and because she was the dearest of people to the Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him).
