It is permissible to eat the meat of thewell-slaughtered animals of the People of the Book if they slaughter them according to the Islamic method, and do not kill them by electrocution or shooting, because Allah Almighty says: ﴿The food of those who were given the Scripture is lawful for you.﴾ However, if they slaughter it for other than Allah, or mention a name other than His upon it, then it is not permissible to eat it.
