What is the ruling on not loving some scholars and preachers and disagreeing with their methodology based on evidence that has become clear to one, and does this expose one to God's wrath and a lack of answer to one's prayers, and is following this methodology mistaken, and does criticizing some scholars result in fearing God's anger?

Hating scholars and preachers is Islamically forbidden, and criticism that leads to slandering or disparaging them is not permissible. However, following the truth and constructive criticism to clarify a scholar's error, while adhering to the etiquette of response, is permissible, for the truth is more deserving of being followed. It is not permissible to abandon benefiting from a scholar due to an error in one detail. Rather, justice and fairness must be upheld, the virtue of people of merit acknowledged, and a balance struck between their good deeds and misdeeds when judging them.
