The answer

The Qur’an is the word of Allah and is uncreated. The saying that the Qur’an was created is a blasphemous innovation originated by the Jahmiyyah. ‘Amr ibn Dinar met nine Companions who all said: “Whoever claims the Qur’an is created is a disbeliever.” It is narrated from Malik, Sufyan ibn ‘Uyaynah, Abu Bakr ibn ‘Ayyash, and Al-Shafi’i that they said: “Whoever claims the Qur’an is created is a disbeliever.” However, the one who says it is not deemed a disbeliever until proof is established against him.
