How is the financial support divided among the children of the deceased husband?

Upon a person's death, their religious obligations cease, and everything they leave behind is considered an inheritance to be divided among their heirs. The deceased's children all share in the inheritance, whether their mother was divorced or not. If the heirs are limited to the wife and children, the wife receives one-eighth, and the remainder is divided among the children, with the male receiving the share of two females if there are both males and females, or equally if they are all males. The matter of inheritances is complex and sensitive, and a mere fatwa (definition) is insufficient; rather, it must be referred to the Sharia (definition) courts to investigate the presence of other heirs, wills, debts, or other rights that take precedence over the heirs' rights.
