They should maintain ties with their relatives without their father's knowledge, combining the two good deeds. If the uncle has wronged the father, then wrongdoing should not be met with similar wrongdoing. It is recommended to strive for reconciliation and to reunite the family, and to advise the father kindly, along with supplication.
