Is it permissible for women to visit graves?

Scholars have differed regarding women visiting graves, holding three opinions: absolute prohibition, absolute permissibility, and permissibility with conditions. The latter is closer to the truth. Her visit reminds one of the Hereafter, and she needs this reminder just as a man does. The curse mentioned in the hadith (definition) is for those who frequent visits. Therefore, it is permissible for a woman to visit graves if she is safe from wailing, and she goes out unveiled and not perfumed, and she does not frequent the visits, and she does not seek out specific days.
