Is it from the Sunnah to leave the mosque or the house with the left foot or the right?

The Sunnah (definition) for entering the mosque is to step with the right foot first, and for exiting, to step with the left foot first. This is unlike relieving oneself, where one steps with the left foot when entering and the right foot when exiting. As for the home, one steps with the right foot both when entering and exiting. It has been reported that Ibn Umar would begin with his right foot when entering the mosque and his left foot when exiting. The statement of a Companion, "It is from the Sunnah to do such-and-such," is considered to be a direct narration from the Prophet.
