Is it permissible to display Quranic verses on a mobile phone screen without Uthmani script and diacritics, to remind the user of dhikr (remembrance of Allah) and supplication, due to technical difficulties?

It is impermissible to write the Mushaf (definition) (the bound copy of the Qur’an) except in the ‘Uthmani script, which has been agreed upon since the time of the Companions. This is what scholars like Malik, Ahmad, Al-Bayhaqi, and Al-Suyuti have unanimously affirmed. As for writing a verse or part of a verse in academic books, magazines, or the like, there is no harm in it. It is also permissible to display some verses on a mobile phone screen using a script other than the ‘Uthmani if the latter is not feasible, provided that the verses are easy to read and accurately rendered.
