Is the intention behind performing acts of worship—doing so in order to see a cartoon character in Paradise—wrong? And should one stop watching and thinking about this character, knowing that thinking about it encourages one to perform acts of worship?

"Often, animated films contain শরعي (Sharia (definition)-compliant) prohibitions, such as the presence of music and the wasting of time. The heart's attachment to animated characters is not real and may be a stratagem of Satan; therefore, one must divert the heart from thinking about them and strive in obedience to Allah. As for the issue of doing good deeds with the hope of meeting a specific person in Paradise, this does not contradict sincerity, because it represents a request for something in Paradise."
