How is the inheritance calculated if the deceased left behind three sons, one daughter, and a wife?

If the deceased leaves behind only a wife, sons, and a daughter, then the wife receives one-eighth as her prescribed share due to the presence of inheriting offspring, based on the Almighty's saying: "But if you have a child, then for them [the wives] is one eighth of what you leave." The remaining inheritance goes to the sons and daughter by way of ta'sib (residuary inheritance), with the male receiving the share of two females, based on the Almighty's saying: "Allah instructs you concerning your children: for the male, what is equal to the share of two females." The inheritance is divided into eight shares: the wife receives one share, each son receives two shares, and the daughter receives one share.
