Which are the higher ranks of scholars among the jurists and the Hadith scholars, and is it true what is said that jurists hold higher ranks among scholars, even though the science of Tawhid is the best of sciences?

The best and most honorable of sciences is the Islamic Sharia (definition) science, and its best divisions are: the science of the Quran and Sunnah (definition), and what is derived from them. This is headed by the knowledge of Allah, His Names, and Attributes, according to the methodology of the righteous predecessors, followed by the knowledge of Allah's commands and prohibitions. The science of creed was previously called "the greater jurisprudence." The science that speaks about Allah, His Names, Attributes, and Actions, is followed by the knowledge of what Allah has informed us of regarding past, future, and present matters, then the knowledge of what Allah has commanded regarding the matters of the hearts and limbs concerning faith in Allah, which includes the knowledge of the fundamentals of faith and the rules of Islam. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, described this knowledge as the inheritance of the prophets, and that whoever takes it has taken a great share. The best scholars are those of action and fear of Allah, and the most deserving of this are the scholars of Tawhid (definition) (monotheism) and rulings.
